Learning outcomes

From the first time we met, I was convinced that [Andy] was not only a first rate media artist, but that he had the special spark to energetically and carefully transmit detailed knowledge and information to our design students. Their evaluations of his courses, as well as my observations and our faculty peer review process, have overwhelmingly borne this out. In the classroom, he is engaging, detailed, and practical. He communicates directly and clearly and the students have, without exception, responded positively to him, expressing to me on a number of occasions their pleasure in how much they’ve been able to gain from his teaching.

STATEMENT

After establishing myself as a pioneer of Internet Art, I have remained actively interested in the evolution of interactive media, art, and design. I share my enthusiasm for these topics in courses ranging from history to practice. In the fast changing terrain of interactive media, I have found diverse footholds. I am now, as ever, doing the essential research to be able to take advantage of the next tectonic shifts, and to introduce the potential of interactive media to new generations.
